A unique virtual reality experience awaits you on the Enrico Toti submarine.

Within the Toti Submarine VR Experience, you have the opportunity to virtually visit the submarine Enrico Toti S506 displayed at the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci in Milan. You can select between two methods of exploration: a conventional guided tour or an interactive narrative set on board in the mid-1990s.

Transport yourself into a three-dimensional stereoscopic world through 360° spherical photographic images taken on board, exclusive sound effects provided by the Italian Navy Submarine School to the Museum, and numerous interactive animated elements.

Escape Immersion! - Adventure on board

In the Escape Immersion! activity, you will assume the role of a machinist (the individual responsible for the engines on the submarine), who embarked aboard the Toti on June 20, 1990 for a mission in the Mediterranean Sea. Your journey begins by awakening in your bunk within the launch room, where you will need to carry out various tasks to execute a swift immersion and evade enemy aircraft.

Follow your officer’s instructions and utilize clues scattered throughout the Toti: if all goes according to plan, you will successfully achieve immersion and evade detection.

Guided Tour - Explore the submarine

The Guided Tour feature presents an opportunity to traverse the entire submarine, from the launch room to the engine room. A guiding voice will provide insights into the chambers and technological apparatus while also sharing anecdotes and tales of life onboard.

Within the vessel, inquisitive players may uncover hidden "easter eggs" containing engaging narratives that go beyond standard Museum tours.

To fully engross yourself in this immersive encounter, make use of the customized VR Cardboard viewer available for purchase at the Museum shop in Milan http://www.mustshop.it/, or opt for a generic viewer accessible through online retailers such as http://g.co/cardboard.

The app can also be utilized in 2D mode if a viewer is not available.
